Portal Cupcakes

On Wednesday, I made Carrot Cake Cupcakes for our friend's birthday. When her husband explained that he wanted "Portal" cupcakes, I was puzzled? What the heck are portal cupcakes?!? Luckily, my husband is a great help in these situations which require a love for video games, so he was able to help me design the fondant toppers for these babies. I was thrilled with the result. Happy Birthday Ann!

Hi Everyone!

This week was super busy with orders and here are some pictures from "Frankstock"....a friend's woodstock themed party!

We made a variety of red velvet, banana/peanut butter, vanilla coconut, and chocolate!

Can you believe its September? What the heck? Where did the summer go?!

I am thrilled to have been so busy with cupcakes this summer, and other special events that are non-cupcake related.

We survived Cupcake Camp OC!

M is for Marshmallow!

Okay so I have been craving s'mores lately....Not sure why, but I have. Anyway I knew I wanted to do Marshmallow for M, so I used this as the perfect opportunity to make s'mores cupcakes :)....and there you have it....M is for Marshmallow!

I made these cupcakes 2 different ways, to experiment. The regular sized cupcakes have a graham cracker layer on the bottom, chocolate and marshmallow cake, and torched marshmallows on top (it's always so much fun to play with fire isn't it?).

The jumbo cupcakes have the same chocolate cake, with marshmallows, but I crumbled graham cracker on top of those ones and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Both are sticky and delicious....but Im still not sure they cured my s'mores craving ;)....maybe I'll have to make the real thing soon.

L is for Lemon!

That's right.... L is for lemon! Lemon is just the best, its sweet, but tart. It's light, but satisfying. Its the perfect balance of deliciousness! I hope the LHPD folks enjoyed them (I was kinda sorry I gave them all to my brother to take to work). I <3 making cupcakes, I really do!

Catching up!

Well it has been a while since my last post because I have been incredibly busy with cupcakes events and orders....woo-hoo! Let's start with Cupcake Camp which was last weekend (the 1st) and was so much fun! We ran out of  cupcakes just 2 hours into the event! Thanks to my wonderful hubby, and our best friends J & J for all of their help that day!

This week I had an order for 1 dozen Red Velvet & 1 dozen Chocolate with Chocolate Buttercream for a friend's brother's birthday. I hope they all enjoyed them :). Cupcakes are just so much cuter with sprinkles on top, don't you agree?

Today was my best friend's Bridal Shower and below are the cupcakes I made for this event. It was such a great day!

I also made a small batch of mini's for a friend's anniversary....awww!!!

I promise L is coming soon....I miss my blog! I am not complaining though, I am thrilled to have people wanting to order my cupcakes!
